Its nearly time for the Shine A Light Exhibition at the Parish in Huddersfield. Imran and I are in the middle of framing the final pieces ready for the opening night on Thursday 24th Sept at 7.30pm.
We will be showcasing surreal, collage based illustrations exploring the beauty of space and astronomy. We have taken a fresh outlook from the beginning and placed ourselves outside our usual methods of working, with the emphasis on collaboration. This has led to some very high quality pieces that we are very proud of.
Alongside the Exhibition, Imran, myself and two other artist will be taking part in a live Art show at 9pm. We have been commissioned to illustrate four sections of wall in The Parish. We hope this will be a fun interaction for the attendees and also be the start of something special at The Parish.
There will be a limited run of T-shirts and prints of works (all numbered), a book featuring illustrations not in the exhibition and a printed box pack which features all of the above.
The Parish will be providing selected drinks and snacks alongside the usual bar, which has a good selection of beer and excellent cocktails... and for one night only a special space based cocktail!
